Every time a visitor to your site clicks on a page, the server has to do a lot of work piecing together the parts that make up your page. To speed this process up, we install a caching plugin that stores the contents of each page so it can be presented to the user much more quickly. The downside to this is that it takes a little while for new edits or posts to show up sometimes. If there’s a new post or page edit that you need to appear on your site urgently, let us know and we’ll empty the cache so it can be displayed immediately.

It sounds like you haven’t got the caching plugin installed on your homepage. Just let us know and we will install this for you.
We install a caching script that stores the output of the latest news and events from your blog so that the homepage can load quicker. Without this cache, because of the load placed on retrieving the information from your blog, it can take quite a long time to load the homepage.
